Founded by the first three Board Certified Anesthesiologists in Nevada, Charles McCusky, William O’Brian and Aurthur Scott, Associated Anesthesiologists of Reno is one of the premier anesthesia practices in the State. The core values established by the founding members were to recruit the best-trained physicians, deliver the state of the art clinical care and maintain the highest professional standards. Since 1949, Associated Anesthesiologists of Reno has been the leader in introducing advances in anesthesia services. Associated Anesthesiologists of Reno was the first physician practice to provide critical care consultation, in house obstetrical anesthesia, neo-natal and cardiac anesthesia, as well as a comprehensive hospital based pain service. Board Certification by the American Board of Anesthesiology is required for partnership.

Associated Anesthesiologists of Reno provides comprehensive anesthesia services to all patients without regard to location or economic status. We provide anesthesia services at every surgical facility in Reno and Sparks. We are proud that in our 55-year history, no patient has been denied service for economic reasons. Associated Anesthesiologists of Reno is equally proud of the medical and community leadership of its members. Our partners have a history of serving, and continue to serve as Chiefs of Staff, Department Chairs, OR committees, Quality Assurance committees, Medical Directors of operating rooms and ambulatory surgery centers and consultants to the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners. Leadership within the community has included Public Education, the Fine Arts, Youth Groups (Scouting, YMCA, YWCA etc), and numerous civic and religious organizations.
